Ignition systems

High energy ignition systems and components

High energy systems are designed to ignite gases and heavier oils in damp and otherwise adverse conditions.

High Energy Ignition untiIgnition units

A range of units from 1.3 to 16 joules provide a high energy discharge to any high energy igniter or torch for direct firing of oils and gases. Units are available with either single, twin, or synchronized multiple channel units, and can be duty cycled or continuously rated according to the application.

Igniters

Our igniters are typically manufactured from Nimonic or stainless steel and are supplied in a variety of lengths and mountings to suit the application. Exotic materials are employed to meet more extreme temperatures and environments.

High energy ignitersCables

Screened cables are available with a variety of fittings for use with igniters and torches. They enable a safe connection between the igniter or torch terminal end and the supply unit, providing the correct low-resistance earth return to the ignition unit. Standard cable uses PTFE insulated conductor suitable for temperatures up to 260°C. The outer conduit can be supplied in stainless steel or Viton rubber for aggressive applications.

Portable systems

Our portable high energy ignition system is powered from a rechargeable battery pack. Extensively used as a stand-by system, it may also be used to ignite a number of burners where the installation of separate, permanent igniter on each boiler would be uneconomical.
