Vibro-Meter announces new Portable CMS (condition monitoring system) for quick on-site machinery analysis.
 Vibro-Meter’s Portable CMS is a transportable version of the widely known and proven VM600 CMS analysis system. Its compact and robust casing allows it to be easily transported and installed, making rapid on-site machinery analysis possible.
This Portable CMS is a fully software programmable and scaleable hardware solution for Plant Usage Optimization, providing integrated condition and performance monitoring.
The Portable CMS rack includes an intelligent front-end data acquisition unit for condition and performance monitoring. This device simultaneously performs all machinery monitoring functions, extracts performance data and processes these data. Its on-board digital signal processing includes powerful analysis tools. The adaptive monitoring responds automatically to changes in the condition of machinery.
The Portable CMS is suitable for use in all industries where rotating machinery measurements are required, such as the power generation industry and its utilities, the petrochemical and gas industries, aerospace and transportation. Whilst designed to fit a broad range of rotating machinery, much of the Portable CMS’s functionality specifically targets turbo machinery installed in the field and machinery test stands, where up to thirty-two channels have to be monitored.
