Company history
Since its foundation more than 50 years ago in Fribourg, Switzerland, Vibro-Meter has been supplying reliable, high quality instrumentation systems to Aerospace, Marine, and Industrial customers worldwide.
Vibro-Meter SA was established in Fribourg, Switzerland, in 1952. Today, the modern factory occupies 15,000 m2 of working area including development laboratories, production workshops, extensive quality assurance facilities, field service, and administrative offices, and employs over 550 people worldwide.
Following its acquisition by Meggitt plc in 1998, Vibro-Meter forms a major part of the Meggitt Aerospace Systems Division.

Markets served
Aerospace: Vibro-Meter is the leading supplier of vibration, speed, dynamic pressure, ice detection, and fluid monitoring systems for civil, military, and rotorcraft applications.
Industrial and marine: The I&M division provides complete protection, condition, and performance monitoring instrumentation systems for rotating machinery. The accumulated expertise of the engineering team enables it to accept full turnkey responsibility.
Space and Nuclear: Vibro-Meter is a contractor to the Ariane 5 program. Displacement, rotational speed, dynamic pressure, and vibration are all being monitored on the new Vulcain engine.
The close cooperation between Vibro-Meter and members of the international nuclear industry has resulted in the successful development of high technology and safety oriented monitoring systems for Nuclear applications.
