Update: September 20, 2006

Vibro-Meter Inc announced the formal opening of its new facility on August 11, 2006. Several state and local officials were on hand to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony. The full formal opening story can be found here, and photographs of our new facility can be viewed here.

Update: June 26, 2006

Vibro-Meter's relocation to a new facility is now complete and we are fully operational.

The office personnel moved into the new facility over the weekend of May 13/14. The remaining factory equipment was transferred to the new facility between May 22 and May 31, and the old facility decommissioned. Our relocation was completed on schedule and with no disruption to shipments.

Update: April 28, 2006

The exterior of the facility has been painted.

This is the fourth week of the phased manufacturing move. Our repair facility, probe production area and part of transmitters production have all relocated and are in the process of re-establishing production capabilities. We anticipate that all groups moved thus far will be operational to various levels by the end of next week. Week five of the move includes the rest of transmitters and our indicator group.

In the office areas, all cubicles have been installed on the second floor. The new office furniture will be delivered next week. Work on the first floor office area will resume upon completion of the new front entrance and lobby. All office areas are on schedule for relocation the week of May 15th.

We remain on schedule with no major problems arising. As of this week, approximately 10% of our work force is operating from the new facility.

Update: April 10, 2006

Over 100 subcontractors were on location at any given time during March. Weekly project meetings continue with our general contractor. Our phased re-location is on schedule with full operational capability expected by July 1.

In the factory, the new paging system has been installed, and drywall installation is complete and painted. Process piping is nearly complete. The new telephone and data equipment has been installed, with both external and inter-site communications tested and working.

The second floor office area is 90% complete. New ceiling tiles and carpeting have been installed in the main areas and all offices. The new HVAC system installation is also complete.

The first floor office area is behind the other areas mainly due to the construction of the front entrance and lobby. This construction is on schedule: the portico is complete, and the glass wall has been installed.

The first phase of the factory move has begun; several pieces of critical equipment have been installed and are ready for testing. We expect our customer service and repair service groups to move to the new facility the week of April 17th. This will be the first complete department to move.

Update: March 8, 2006

Renovation work on the new facility is continuing at an accelerated pace. In February over 75 trades people were at the location doing their specialty work.

In the factory area, process piping installation is 50% complete, 90% of the electrical work is complete, and 95% of all drywall installation is complete and painted. All mezzanines are assembled that hold additional new process equipment for our operations.

The second floor office area is 80% complete with drywall up and painted in most areas, office sidelights and doors have been installed, and 90% of the new HVAC system is installed including new ductwork.

All new cubicle furniture is on order and our new telephone equipment has been installed and is just waiting for the office areas to be completed.

A lot is happening very quickly. We are looking forward to our move into our new facility.
