Omniguard® Model 860 Multi-Spectrum UV/IR Flame Detector
By combining ultraviolet and infrared sensors with micro-circuit technology, Omniguard engineers have achieved the highest possible levels of sensitivity and reliability. Furthermore, while similar to our standard Model 860 detector, this multi-spectrum version is suitable for the detection of hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fires.
Features
- Certified for hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon fire detection.
- Robust, explosion-proof construction certified for hazardous locations.
- FM, CSA, and ATEX approved.
- Microprocessor controlled operation incorporating patented
Fire Event Analysis.
- Advanced built-in automatic diagnostics with through the lens clarity checking and output device monitoring.
- Widest field of view in the industry (120°).
The Omniguard Model 860 Multi-Spectrum UV/IR Flame Detector utilizes a state-of-the-art microprocessor incorporating our patented Fire Event Analysis. With Fire Event Analysis, the Model 860 is capable of offering superior high speed flame detection without compromise to false alarm immunity. The detector employs Vibro-Meter's own highly sensitive, solar blind, ultraviolet sensor, along with its own narrow band infrared thermopile) sensor to ensure unbeatable performance.
The Model 860 has been approved for indoor and outdoor use in hazardous areas and is weather proof in both its aluminum or optional stainless steel housing. Its built-in self test feature not only monitors lens clarity, but also screens the electronic circuit function, proper calibration, and output relay continuity.
As with all Omniguard flame detectors, the Model 860 is both easy and economical to install. The self-contained concept means no costly controller and no complicated wiring. Installation requires 24 Vdc, and connection of the detector's form C relays to a commercially available fire control panel.
In addition to hydrocarbon fires, the Omniguard Model 860 Multi-Spectrum UV/IR
Flame Detector is capable of detecting various non-hydrocarbon fires such as hydrogen, hydrazine, and silane. Consult Vibro-Meter's application engineers for assistance with your project.
